Automate your monitoring today
iMonitor offers a range of industrial internet of things (IIoT) measurement devices for easy and accurate control of your quality metrics such as temperature, humidity, pressure, or UV-C.
- Inline probes and sensors monitor quality metrics automatically in real-time during your production run.
- Wireless remote sensors for 24/7 real-time environmental monitoring.
- Bluetooth enabled infra-red and penetration probes measure quality metrics precisely at your critical control point checks.
Being fully integratable with iMonitor’s software, the measurement devices transfer the recorded data automatically to the platform, ensuring complete data integrity and eliminating manual documentation.
Inline probes
Monitor quality metrics live during production run with iMonitor’s IIoT inline probes
Real-time manufacturing monitoring
Reduce downtime and waste
Real-time alerts
Eliminate paperwork
Data integrity
Increase productivity
Integratable with iMonitor’s software
How it works
Installed directly into production machinery, iMonitor’s industrial inline probes measure your key quality metrics in real-time during the whole manufacturing process. Fully integratable with the iMonitor software, the inline probe sends the collected data immediately to the cloud-based system. Real-time alerts in case of critical deviations enable immediate corrective actions, such as stopping the production run to fix the issue.
Installed directly into production machinery, iMonitor’s industrial inline temperature probe measures temperature in real-time during the whole production run. Installed into a manufacturing thermal well, it can measure the temperature of the food product while it is pumped or piped past the thermal well.
Penetration probes have the advantage of measuring the core temperature of food products very precisely. Typical penetration probes leave visible holes in the final product. iMonitor’s ultra-thin penetration probe is specifically designed to reduce visible marks on the food product while having very rapid response to temperature changes.
The high pressure sensor enables the measuring of pressurized CO2 tanks and can alert the manufacturer when a pre-defined low threshold is reached. This enables manufacturers to order new gas supplies before they run out of stock, avoiding manufacturing downtime. Price on request
When integrated with iMonitor’s IIoT device, the vibration sensor allows for sampling of maximum acceleration in three axes. Applications typically include machine monitoring for pre-emptive fault finding and fixing to prevent down-time. Other applications include environmental monitoring of roadways or bridges as well as cross-city monitoring for disaster events. Extended applications could include indication of machine on-time or functional state, and duration. Price on request

How it works
iMonitor’s wireless remote sensors fully automate measuring your quality metrics, removing the need for repetitive tasks like monitoring cold storage temperatures. Integratable with iMonitor’s software, the wireless sensors send data instantly to the cloud-based system, preventing data manipulation and eliminating manual measuring tasks.
All of iMonitor’s remote monitoring devices are IANZ and NIST certified.
iMonitor’s wireless monitoring sensor is a smart device that on its own measures ambient temperature, but can also serve as base sensor module that is fully expandable to cover a wide range of additional quality metrics with our sensor extensions below.
The IIoT device generates live data without the need to be plugged into a computer to read the recorded data like conventional data loggers. Recorded data is automatically transmitted to the cloud-based iMonitor system but if needed it can also log data for up to two months.
The dual temperature and humidity sensor can monitor both ambient temperature and humidity simultaneously. This provides automated environmental monitoring for food and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The sensor reports logs to match production batches while also being able to alert if safe production conditions are breached.
iMonitor’s environmental low pressure sensor can measure the ambient differential pressure in cleanrooms often used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
iMonitor offers numerous gas sensors to measure ambient concentrations of most gasses, for example, ethylene, nitrogen, hydrocarbon, or sulphur. An ethylene sensor, for instance, can be used to measure and balance the correct level of ethylene concentration in the banana ripening process to provide a safe and healthy working environment for staff. Monitoring solution FAQ’s
iMonitor offers a broad range of monitoring devices, from Bluetooth enabled infra-red or penetration probes through IIoT inline probes to wireless remote sensors with additional sensor heads. The devices are customisable to measure various quality metrics, such as temperature, humidity, pressure, or UV-C.
iMonitor will supply a Gateway/Receiver that has to be plugged into a spare port in your switch or modem using an ethernet cable. This port should be DHCP enabled with full internet access.
Yes. Self-installation can be as simple as placing the monitoring devices (sensors) in the appropriate locations, connecting the iMonitor gateway into your modem with an ethernet cable and signing up online to create your account and dashboard.
Self-installation:
Installation of iMonitor’s hardware is as simple as connecting the receiver (gateway) into your modem with an ethernet cable. Place the monitoring devices (wireless sensors) in the appropriate locations. It is recommended that the power meter is installed by a registered electrician.
Installation by iMonitor:
iMonitor can also arrange installation – price on application (POA).
iMonitor’s sensors are iANZ certified and checked for calibration. They are typically accurate to +/- 0.3 degrees Celsius. A higher degree of accuracy can also be supported if needed and is PoA.
iMonitor’s sensors will report temperatures once every five minutes. The reporting interval can be customised down to 30 seconds.
Yes, the system can notify you, or designated employees via email and/or SMS.
There are no limitations for email. SMS notifications are limited to 50 SMS per month. If needed, additional SMS can be purchased (Terms & conditions apply).
Yes, all devices are calibrated, and annual calibration is provided as part of the service agreement.
The minimum rental quantity is three units.
iMonitor offers two types of receivers: a basic receiver and a managed receiver that offers battery back-up and 5G access.
The monitoring device starts logging the data to avoid data loss. The managed receiver starts to use the battery backup and switches to 4G to ensure connectivity. You are notified of the gateway’s status to fix any issue. If you need assistance, iMonitor’s customer service team will help. You can contact us via the chatbot on our website, on 0800 274 7014 or via email to [email protected].
Yes, but you lose the benefit of automatically temperature logging into your software platform.
Yes. Our products are all reusable, you just need to ship it back to us. At the end of life, all devices are recycled.
No. There is no cost associated with our recycling program.
Hardware and its associated peripherals should be recycled for a couple of reasons:
- Some materials in the products can be reused for the production of new products, minimizing the impact of these materials on our landfills and reducing the need for raw materials.
- Also, some components, such as batteries, used in the hardware must be disposed of in a specific manner to protect our environment.
Our packaging is recyclable. Visit Earth911 or check out your local council guide here: recycle.co.nz to find best ways to recycle the packaging.
No. None of our e-waste is exported for recycling.
